how-to-embed-in-html
Learn how to embed almost anything in your HTML web pages from Flash videos to Spreadsheets to high resolution photographs to static images from Google Maps and more.
Embed RSS Feeds in Web Pages
Go to this page, replace the feed URL with your own feed, use the default color scheme or change it to something else and then click Get Code. You’ll get a JavaScript snippet that can be easily placed in the sidebar of your blog.
If you like to embed feeds from multiple sources, merge all of them into one using Yahoo Pipes and then pass the combined feed to the Google Gadget. You can also use RSS widgets like WidgetBox or YourMinis that are done in Flash and not JavaScript.
Embed High Quality or HD YouTube Videos
To embed a high resolution version of YouTube clip in your web pages, first make sure that “Watch in High Quality” or “Watch in HD” link exists next to the YouTube player as most videos are only available in standard format.

pronunciation & sounds of English
This table contains all the sounds (phonemes) used in the English language. For each sound, it gives:
- The symbol from the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), as used in phonetic transcriptions in modern dictionaries for English learners — that is, in A. C. Gimson’s phonemic system with a few additional symbols. The table represents British and American phonemes with one symbol. One symbol can mean two different phonemes in American and British English. See the footnotes for British-only and American-only symbols.
- Two English words which use the sound. The underline shows where the sound is heard.
- The links labeled Amer and Brit play sound recordings (in mp3 format) where the words are pronounced in American and British English. The British version is given only where it is very different from the American version.

Exploring Images in the 21st Century Classroom

How can adding images to your in-class and online activities raise student interest? How can you help learners develop 21st century multiliteracy skills through active learning?
In this six-week online workshop offered through the Electronic Village Online, participants will be introduced to various online image manipulation tools and will learn how to effectively incorporate these resources into their teaching practices. They will explore how images can be used in educational settings for photo sharing, storytelling, slideshows and comics creation, as well as understand how Creative Commons licensing can be beneficial for classroom use. By the end of the workshop, participants will have the chance to develop a plan to begin incorporating digital production into their lesson plans.

Capzles, is a “social storytelling” site that lets you frame picture, video, documents and other media like mp3 audio…
It lets you place personal media online — in the form of a timeline.
I like this and want to give it a try. It has a slick interface and you can add audio so it can be useful for teaching and creating content.
